1) the education system in each country
Some sample questions:
a. At what age do you start learning English?
b. What are the most interesting/difficult subjects?
c. How large are the schools? How many students per class?
d. Are the teachers any good? :-)

2) the life of university students
Some sample questions:
a. What’s it like to be a university student in Malaysia/Japan?
b. What are some of the biggest challenges you have as a student?
c. What kind of after-school club activities are you involved in?

3) food culture in each country
Some sample questions:
a. What’s the most popular traditional dish in Malaysia/Japan?
b. Do you cook? What’s your favorite dish to prepare?
c. Whenever you eat out with your family or friends, where do you usually go?
