Sadly, they removed his original obituary published by the
Lufkin Daily News,
but I was able to track it down at the Wayback Machine and have posted it here.)

We miss you, buddy.  But we know you are now at peace with your dad
up there on the playground in the sky.

Chris Dyer
(Jan. 18, 1959 - Nov. 7, 2012)

It was with great sadness that I learned yesterday that Chris Dyer had passed on Wed. Nov. 7, 2012.
He was without question one of Ted's greatest friends, and of the 159 entries in Ted's online guest book,
a remarkable 26 are from Chris, more than from any other person.
Accordingly, I've compiled a list of his guest book posts here.
In fact, his poem below was one of his many amazing posts there.
I believe one of my favorites is the Feb. 26, 2008 Dr. Pepper story,
which Chris told at the beginning of his eulogy at Ted's funeral.
At the bottom of the page mentioned above, I've also added
an aircheck of Chris doing his radio DJ thing.
You can read Chris' obituary here.
RIP, Chris...

Thinking of Ted

I wish heaven had a phone
so I could hear your voice again.
I thought of you today,
     but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday,
     and days before that too.
I think of you in silence,
     I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake
     from which I'll never part.
God has you in his arms.
I have you in my heart.

We Miss You, Bubba.

From Chris Dyer

Nashville studio singer and played at the very end of Ted's funeral on Jan. 15, 2008.

This page is intended to honor that great guy who touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways.
My only wish is that it never be complete, but be an ongoing work in progress(1).
If you have any memories to share here, feel free to send them to garywolf@gol.com.
In the words of Chris Dyer, "We miss you, Bubba...Keep sending us those awesome sunrises."
Rest in peace, Ted....
